Your daily work involves the production of an increasing number of images. Because they have a medical and scientific value, these are more than just digital photographs. Their traceability, security and integration into your information system are now essential requirements. In the interests of transparent image management, TRIBVN has developed an Image Management System (IMS) which is fully-adapted to your business and which can be perfectly integrated in your workflow.
Designed using a client-server architecture, this IMS allows the automatic retrieval of all your images, the automatic and manual indexing of these images, the consultation and circulation of images within your department and institution, together with publications in expert networks.
This service is based on the TRIBVN ICS software package and three complementary modules. TRIBVN ICS 1.5 is a system for the network management of medical images using a unique database in SQL. This software is responsible for the acquisition, indexing and sharing of your images. It incorporates imager functions (zoom, navigation within the image, comparison), indexing functions (record and image files, annotation, thesaurus function and codification), and powerful multi-criteria search functions. To find out more, you can consult thebrochureor thetechnical specifications.
ICS WebView is an application for the Intranet consultation of image files using a simple web browser. Each authorized user can consult image files from any PC: in the office, in their LIS, in staff facilities, at consultation meetings, etc. Images are accessible and secure. USB and flag keys are no longer necessary. Images are easily identifiable and traceable. This application, installed on the image database server, requires no installation on the PCs used for consultation purposes, and will allow simultaneous access with no restrictions.
ICS Dicomizer is a module for the DICOMISATION of key images in the examination or consultation file and the entry of these images in a PACS. Dicomisation is based upon the data structure of the DICOM Pathology group and delivers images in Secondary Capture or Visible Light formats. This module allows your key images to be incorporated into the image infrastructure of the hospital, and made available for direct consultation in the medical records of the patient concerned. Images are securely archived, can be consulted in conjunction with your reports, and will satisfy the data processing requirements of your institution.
ICS Connect is a module for the connection of our IMS with your LIS. Today, it is inconceivable that doctors or technicians should enter information which already exists in other data processing systems. For this reason, in full compliance with IHE procedure, we favour interfaces with LISs. ICS Connect fulfils three integration requirements: the delivery to the TRIBVN IMS of automatic image indexing information (patient identity, context of examination); the direct consultation in the LIS of images from a report; notification to the IMS of the validation of a report, in order to allow the Dicomisation of key images.
The ICS Connect protocol is freely available to LIS editors. The operational interface is constructed using the DIAMIC CS, APIX v6, GLIMS and CORTEX software packages.
